Climate

In the savanna climate there is a distinct dry season, which is in the winter. Savannas get all their rain in the summer months. Some rivers and streams dry up. The climate of the savannah is hot year round. The temperature never drops below 20 degrees Celsius, or 68 degrees Fahrenheit. the hottest time of the year occurs from, March to October, which the best time of the year to travel to our savannah. The cooler times of the year occur from November to February.

The DRY SEASON- The African savannah has two very distinct seasons; the Dry season and a Rainy season. In the dry season there is little no rainfall which makes it the best time of the year to travel because animals will be close to scarce water. The average temperature in the dry season is around 85 degrees Fahrenheit. There is however added discomfort because of humidity, but the safari will be best around these times.

The RAINY SEASON- The African Savannah also has a very odd rainy season, where in the summer up to 50 inches of rain can fall depending on location. The rainy season is not the best time to travel to the savannah but you will expect to see nature at her finest with an abundance of life where many animals have ended their mating season and you will see an abundance of cute, baby animals roaming the Savannah.
